FIST OF JUSTICE LAD... AGAIN!!!

Ok I just had to get it out of my system I MIGHT color the standing Pose  BUT then I THINK I've got it out of my system and Im done... I think!

Fist Of Justice Lad

This was a character I was kidding around with when I initially made a jest to there being a fist of Justice lad I didn't think Mike would take me seriously... Mike says hes a robot HEY I have an Idea I want to throw out there... what if FOJ Lad was the governments way of keeping an eye on FOJ so when this character comes out he's the governments way of policing the police. Just an idea... I did this before I had a chance to read Mikes full description of the kid all I saw was FOJ LAD and went to sketching then I went back to finish reading the message and uhhhh well lets just say Im way off what he had in mind. OH he would still be a robot that way they can see through his eyes he could later even become more sentient and make a decision to fight along side FOJ OR he could do the crazy Unstoppable robot thing and go haywire and become a villain then that way you could see his robotics in his villain form AGAIN just throwing it out there.

Street Fighter Influenced

I have a small scanner and My Big one is on the fritz so please forgive the double scan thing, just sketching again. took a break to watch Street fighter Alpha one night MAN didn't come close to doing those characters justice BUT AGAIN its just fun doodles and sketches.

Bizzaro Sketches Continued

Ive made it a point to sketch weather I like the image or not, MY THING IS if I'm going to get better or take it to the next level I better at least DO it more. So bare with me if you don't like them ... sorry ... its my blog and I can blog what I want to.... hehehe.

the FLAMING DOVE , Dove dove dove!!!!!!!!

As I ve been working on these different covers I've had an opportunity to delve back into my Fine arts side, I sometimes forget how much fun that actually is. I've entitled this piece Holy Spirit based o the piece Im doing for the cover but in the COMIC ARENA MOST REMBER THIS CHARACTER AS THE FLAMING DOVE , Dove dove dove!!!!!!!!

My Touchy Feely Side

This digital painting was created in photoshop inspired by a photo I saw , the original photo of the tree was quite diminutive and lifeless looking. I wanted to express something that showed life and was much larger and displayed strength. The original image I saw was entitled Beautiful, I entitled this one Beauty Fulfilled. hehehe I know most you guys don't like all that touchy feely stuff, BUT HEY can't help it when my fine art side peeks out every now and then, hehehe its actually fun.

Bizzaro Sketching

I was in My Journal and instead of writing felt like sketching... I figured since I hadn't put up anything HERE in a while I could at least TRY to update my blog occasionally. Don't really know why Im on this Bizarro kick, I guess it just seemed fun to doodle with at the moment.

Iron man Painting

I gotta admit, after seeing the Iron man movie I was definitly influenced to attempt one of the hardest things to do in any media... METAL!!! hehehe...  I had to do my own version of Mr. Invincible himself... I'll be honest I'm not sure if I like this one or not But hey I had fun and I guess that's all that matters. I look at it as it being  my own personal practice session... as my instructor says I'll bring it up a notch on the next one, HEY 

at least I'm not just painting heads any more:)

2. I ran a plastic filter over this one and it gives it a little more shine... But I think Im starting to lean towards image one

3. okay I know the top one looks a lot like this bottom one  BUT they are different... I ran a watercolor filter over this version. And yeah I know it's subtle changes  to number 2 and 3 but I get to be fickled and ... ( in the tune of its my party ) its my blog and I can have fun if I want to.

This is just a snippet of the image I'm working  ( so yes there is more to this piece than just a head hahaha ). On the last two pieces I started I didn't finish them ( yet... Maybe I'll go back to them) . The goal on this one is to do a bust shot I'll explain further my idea of the sketch when I upload the painting. I was remembering my comic days and started drawing this image then I realized I only needed the skeleton for the painting and I guess I was also curious to see if I added more detail if this would help my painting any... I guess it might the more you have the less you have to think of oh well on to painting. Honestly I think I really wanted to draw but got bored to quickly.

Wonder Woman

I've been wanting to do Wonder Woman for some time now I probably could have pushed this the colors in this piece some more but sometimes less is more I guess. I remember on the old Wonder Woman TV show the wipes for the the show were the stars  and this image I wanted to do an homage to the show and the comic thus the stars and the comic like layout, a little Linda Carter in the eyes a little shout out  to the comic version ( in style ) and the show and hopefully I got the right mix, hey... I like the amalgam. I had to repaint the face about 10 times !!!! but once I finally got what I was looking for I was able to move on to the other stuff. I was also stressing  about how to do her lasso  then it hit me do it in Photoshop ... uh ... not telling you HOW I did it unless you really want to know hehehehe.  ( 95 % of this image was done in Painter and the other 5 % in Photoshop).

Space Ghost

Okay here it is .... I've always wanted to do Space Ghost and he was one of my favorite Saturday morning line up heroes, so hey I threw it out there and gave it a shot .... AND YEAH I Know this is not the traditional Space Ghost but I saw another artist do his take on SG and liked it so much it inspired me to do this version. Im not as happy with it as I thought I would be, I'm still attempting to learn how to paint the human form BUT HEY I'M HAVING FUN WHILE I'M LEARNING I'll keep working at it. Ha ! They normally look pretty good small but these are probably better viewed enlarged. well on to the next one.

Someone ask to see a closer version of the head? Here it is ... I did a version where light was reflecting onto the black but I think I like the stark black better for some reason, It reminds me more of Space Ghost. but I thought I'd put both up.
