Black Widow

I was over at Hasbro and a guy (Hey Dave) came by the cube and we got to talking about Black Widow (NATASHA ROMANOVA) the red headed Russian, and we all remember her a certain way and this is the one that has stayed in my head for years. I also have been chomping at the bit to just draw and I haven't drawn women in a long time.

COLORING

This was colored for a SUPER TALENTED BROTHER OF MINE!!!!! he said if you get time to throw some colors down feel free... I liked the design so much I couldn't resist!!!

AVENGER SKETCHIN

My computer kept crashing so in between crashes I would draw... you can kinda get an idea how many times it crashed... Iron man doesn't count though ... he was done at lunch time.

Just keeping busy, PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!!

Always feel like Im doing the same pose so i thought I'd try a different technique, and practice more at being a little more versatile.

A splash of color

I might go ahead and finish this but I was just wanted to throw a splash of color on it to see what I'd get, you know nothing serious. I already see stuff I need to fix ... So if I don't get bored with it I may post those fixes, Kinda like a work in progress ... MAYBE! Quick stuff like this is kinda fun though.

Sketching again

I haven't had much time to do anything serious But Im going to keep sketching until I do.MAN I LOVE THE BALL POINT PEN!!!!

Me, a big boofy marker and a pen, JUST-a-SKETCHIN But nothing serious.

Just some daily sketches, I try to do this everyday so I'm playing catch up here by uploading the sketches I haven't uploaded to the blog yet. I have this big 11x17 sketch book that is hard to scan from. MAN I will never buy another one of these books again, man its a challenge to fill this thing up, BUT! Me and the Big BOOFY marker are about to become good friends, when I use a big marker I tend to draw bigger ... maybe this will help me fill this sketch book so I can get me a smaller one... I figure I'm wasting money if I don't at least use what I've got and at least fill it up.

Queen Esther

The above image  was inspired by the image below, the nose is a little red but hey that's the cool thing about being an artist you get to be creative, add things that are not there or change things to make them work to get the desired look you have in mind . I changed the eyes the nose the lips a bit as you can see and gave her darker features like in the eyebrows which honestly was one of those happy accidents.

FIST OF JUSTICE LAD... AGAIN!!!

Ok I just had to get it out of my system I MIGHT color the standing Pose  BUT then I THINK I've got it out of my system and Im done... I think!

Fist Of Justice Lad

This was a character I was kidding around with when I initially made a jest to there being a fist of Justice lad I didn't think Mike would take me seriously... Mike says hes a robot HEY I have an Idea I want to throw out there... what if FOJ Lad was the governments way of keeping an eye on FOJ so when this character comes out he's the governments way of policing the police. Just an idea... I did this before I had a chance to read Mikes full description of the kid all I saw was FOJ LAD and went to sketching then I went back to finish reading the message and uhhhh well lets just say Im way off what he had in mind. OH he would still be a robot that way they can see through his eyes he could later even become more sentient and make a decision to fight along side FOJ OR he could do the crazy Unstoppable robot thing and go haywire and become a villain then that way you could see his robotics in his villain form AGAIN just throwing it out there.

Street Fighter Influenced

I have a small scanner and My Big one is on the fritz so please forgive the double scan thing, just sketching again. took a break to watch Street fighter Alpha one night MAN didn't come close to doing those characters justice BUT AGAIN its just fun doodles and sketches.

the FLAMING DOVE , Dove dove dove!!!!!!!!

As I ve been working on these different covers I've had an opportunity to delve back into my Fine arts side, I sometimes forget how much fun that actually is. I've entitled this piece Holy Spirit based o the piece Im doing for the cover but in the COMIC ARENA MOST REMBER THIS CHARACTER AS THE FLAMING DOVE , Dove dove dove!!!!!!!!

My Touchy Feely Side

This digital painting was created in photoshop inspired by a photo I saw , the original photo of the tree was quite diminutive and lifeless looking. I wanted to express something that showed life and was much larger and displayed strength. The original image I saw was entitled Beautiful, I entitled this one Beauty Fulfilled. hehehe I know most you guys don't like all that touchy feely stuff, BUT HEY can't help it when my fine art side peeks out every now and then, hehehe its actually fun.

Bizzaro Sketching

I was in My Journal and instead of writing felt like sketching... I figured since I hadn't put up anything HERE in a while I could at least TRY to update my blog occasionally. Don't really know why Im on this Bizarro kick, I guess it just seemed fun to doodle with at the moment.
